Home Box Office (HBO) is a pay television network in the United States that is owned by WarnerMedia Studios & Networks and is the flagship product of its parent company, Home Box Office, Inc.
In October of 2018, Warner Media stated that next year it will launch an Over The Top (OTT) streaming service that would include content from its many entertainment brands. The initial concept called for three membership tiers and a 2019 debut. However, in May of 2019, the service announced that it will be branded as HBO, tying in cable providers. The service was planned to go into beta in the fourth quarter of 2019, with a debut in early 2020. Warner Media officially revealed in July 2019 that the service would be called HBO Max and will arrive in the spring of 2020. HBO Max, of course, debuted on 27/05/2020, with so much original content and projects to its credit.
